Eliel & Texas Distance Challenge

Well folks, here’s the scoop… When determining what keepsake items the Texas Distance Challenge was going to offer, we knew we wanted to give our participants something WELL worth traveling thousands of miles on a bicycle. After conversations with a few different folks, we landed on a premier cycling jersey that our Challengers could rock every time they go out for a ride (if it’s not too sweaty from the last ride).

This is where Eliel Cycling comes into the fold! Eliel is a California-based company that specializes in everything BIKE. Jerseys, vests, jackets, speed suits, you name it! We knew we wanted to deliver a high-quality, USA-Produced product, and Eliel had us covered. This is in line with everything that we aim to offer our Challengers.

Mega bonus, we get to support our Virtual Event Partner, The California Coast 500, in showing some love for the state that they call home!

We had a chance to get to know the Eliel team, and they are awesome! Keep on scrolling to learn a bit more about Texas Distance Challenge’s jersey designer, Alex Lamb!

Designer Bio:

My name is Alex Lamb and I’ve been a long time fan of endurance sports ever since I could remember with my family doing marathons, triathlons and other types of endurance events. I got into mainly the cycling side of things, and I have been loving it ever since! I’ve been designing in the action sports/cycling world for about 3 years now, and I love it! Being able to connect with other riders and share experiences on and off the bike and through the eye catching kit designs has been the best.

Favorite Ride:

My favorite ride or event to do is probably Big Bear Grand Fondo, just because of the high mountain and the scenery is amazing. But riding in the Malibu Hills/ Coastline is definitely a close second!

Texas #Goals

I’ve never been to Texas (I hope to one day!), but the thing I’d love to do most when I’m there is ride those epic gravel roads I see on social media! Those look like fun to me, and I am sure there are PLENTY of them! Also, I 100% want all the southern BBQ I can get. 🙂

Here's a cool photo of Alex in action!

Thanks, Alex! BBQ is on us when you get in town! We know everyone will love your designs once they complete the challenge.

Be sure to check out Eliel’s Instagram and Facebook to see what they are up to!

Happy riding, Dillos!
