Our Team
Our goal is to provide a fun and refreshing health & wellness platform. We are also eager to share and celebrate the many wonderful aspects of Texas.
Our company, Event Southwest, has been producing events in Texas since 2012. You may have even ran some of the great Texas races we’ve been involved with including the Dallas, Houston and Austin Marathons!
A fun little nugget, Event Southwest may have been born in 2012, but much of our team has been in the local running industry since childhood either as runners, cyclists, triathletes or timers at Texas-based events.

Mission & Vision
It’s really quite simple! We want to promote Texas and see as much success for local startups and creators as possible while being good stewards and supporters of the green spaces we all share.
- Celebrate the State of Texas and explore the vastness and diversity of its offerings.
- Support the great Texas charities like the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and Carry The Load.
- Promote an ongoing health & fitness routine and outlet for our participants. We want this to be more than a one-time goal, but rather a habit of exercise, activity and healthy choices.

Here at Texas Distance Challenge, we believe that everyone has the capacity and capability to be a runner, walker or rider. We believe we’re stronger when we are all active together. No matter your speed or ability, your physical makeup, or your background, all are welcome at our events. Come join us!
